Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has planned to forecast for the 2019/20 campaign without two more of his first-team players.

Real Madrid grabbed their first pre-season win on Wednesday after defeating Arsenal 3-2 in a penalty shootout after the match was a stalemate at 2-2 after the opening 90 minutes. Zinedine Zidane’s side went 2-0 down by the end of the first half, but pulled level in the second, courtesy of Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio who scored within minutes of each other.

Following the match, Zinedine Zidane decided that two first team players- Vinicius Junior and Nacho Fernandez- did not display enough calibre to make it into the roster for the upcoming season and could be leaving the club during the transfer window, according to the Fox Sports. Given the newer additions, the Merengues could afford to offload unnecessary players.

Zinedine Zidane did not even plan on bringing in Vinicius Junior throughout the match apparently, but had to do so following Marco Asensio’s injury. Now that Eden Hazard has been signed and the Whites have a pretty decent bench, Zidane has asked Real Madrid to send Vinicius Junior out on loan but somewhere in Spain only.

Nacho Fernandez meanwhile had a torrid night. The Spanish defender was sent off within eight minutes of kick-off. Eder Militao’s signing is likely to push him down the pecking order and his versatility probably would not do a lot of good given that Real Madrid have a significant amount of cover for the full back roles, so an exit could be a good option for the player.

However for the time being, Florentino Perez and his officials are currently trying to negotiate an exit for Gareth Bale, whose departure would be of great relief to Zinedine Zidane. The Wales international could be heading to China or the Premier League or even Bayern Munich, but the most important thing is that Madrid would have freed up worth 17 million euros’ of their annual wage budget.
