Given Paris Saint-Germain’s demands for Neymar, the chances are that he will remain at the club for the upcoming season…

Amidst all the rumours surrounding Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain, the Brazilian has joined Thomas Tuchel’s squad in China as they prepare for their pre-season games. Neymar has been touted to head back to Barcelona this summer however, PSG’s demands are something that the Catalan club are finding difficult to match.

More from FC Barcelona

There are new reports every day regarding the star forwards future and he has managed to once again become the talk of the summer transfer window all around the world. As reported earlier, Barcelona prefers a player plus cash deal and have reportedly offered PSG two of Samuel Umtiti, Nelson Semedo, Ousmane Dembele, Malcom, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic in exchange for Neymar, who left the Blaugrana in 2017 for a staggering €222 million.

As reported by AS, Real Madrid have also offered PSG €90 million and Gareth Bale. The relationship between Bale and Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has become sour and Zidane wants Bale out so that he can make space for Paul Pogba, who the Los Blancos manager desperately wants to sign this summer.

However, L’Equipe reports that Paris Saint-Germain will only sell Neymar if they receive the full €222 million that they paid for him while snatching him away from FC Barcelona. Le Parisiens don’t seem to be interested in any player plus cash deal and will not entertain any such offers from either Barcelona or Real Madrid.

It would be really tough for Barcelona to shell out that money given the fact that they just splashed roughly €200 million on Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong. The Catalan club has even taken a loan to fund Griezmann’s signing and if they spend big again, Barca may end up violating the Financial Fairplay Regulations set down by UEFA.

Neymar desperately wants a move away from Paris Saint-Germain, but given their demands, the only realistic scenario for the Brazilian will be that he remains at PSG as neither of the two La Liga giants would be willing to meet Les Rouge et Bleu’s demands for the Brazilian forward. Also, Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly set a deadline until the end of July for any transfer to happen for Neymar, after which, he will remain at PSG for another year at least.

Do you think PSG will change their mind and let Neymar go?
