Arsenal are just one signing away from a guaranteed top-four finish
By Kian Long
It’s not time to get excited just yet, Arsenal have one more thing to do…
Arsenal have had an impressive transfer window so far. Despite what many claimed, they have exceeded expectations and signed a total of three players.
William Saliba will return to Saint-Etienne on a season-long loan before returning to Arsenal permanently, while Dani Ceballos will stay in London on loan before returning to Real Madrid. Nicolas Pepe was also announced yesterday on a permanent deal.
All three of these players will easily walk into Unai Emery’s setup and they will all benefit in their own individual ways. Dani Ceballos will replace Aaron Ramsey‘s dynamism, Nicolas Pepe will act as the widest playmaker for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and William Saliba will tighten things at the back.

However, work still needs to be done. In my opinion, Kieran Tierney is the next and final priority for Raul Sanllehi and company. It would seem that the Gunners don’t have the funds but Sanllehi was described by The Sun as the ‘dancing mastermind’, making deals happen left, right and centre.
Tierney is the missing piece of the puzzle for various reasons. He is a versatile full-back who flourishes in both the defensive and attacking third. He has the ability to create goals while his physicality and Scottish genes enable him to prevent crosses being made in his own half.
This is what Arsenal have been missing. The blame is often pinned on Shkodran Mustafi, and rightly so, however his antics in the box won’t be a problem if the danger is averted right away.
It is an added bonus that Kieran Tierney has the ability to slot in at centre back. Therefore, if Saliba’s absence is proving too much, Tierney would be the quick fix to partner Sokratis Papastathopoulos. It’s a win-win situation.
Arsenal must cough up the funds for Kieran Tierney. Unai Emery has had a season to settle in and work out what’s what, but now he knows what he needs to do. Celtic aren’t exactly difficult negotiators, they have set the price for the Gunners to match.
Do you think Arsenal need to sign Kieran Tierney this summer?
