Barcelona will not be pursuing a move for Neymar this summer…
Barcelona have used this summer well so far. Their aim heading into this window was to strengthen one or two positions in the hopes of reclaiming their dominance in La Liga. They have done just that, signing Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Neto, Junior Firpo, Emerson and Marc Cucurella.
Of those six signings, four came from within La Liga. That said, not only are Barcelona strengthening their own squad but they are also weakening those around them at the same time.

However, their main transfer target of the summer was always going to be Neymar. The Brazilian forward wad bound to be a name of the summer as many outlets linked him with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain. A move back to his former club Barcelona was on the cards, but according to Goal, Barca have ruled out this proposition.
What does this mean for Neymar? Well, he is in a sticky situation now. He had his heart set on Barcelona, which means that Real Madrid have probably lost interest. With the arrival of Eden Hazard as well, there won’t be much room at the Bernabeu for Neymar.
It was also revealed recently that Marco Verratti wasn’t very happy with Neymar. The midfielder claimed that it would be best for all parties if PSG were to sell him. Therefore, I would assume that Neymar won’t get a warm reception at the Parc des Princes.
Neymar is one of the best players in the world and he would improve any side undoubtedly. He has been unfortunate in the timings of Barcelona and Real Madrid’s big signings because if not, he would have gotten a big move away from PSG this summer. However, this is football we’re talking about and anything can still happen.
Where do you think Neymar will be playing this season?
