Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane shift their focus to Neymar
By Josh Ricker
After failing to get Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer, Real Madrid and manager Zinedine Zidane are now shifting their focus to PSG star, Neymar Jr.
Neymar is a player that Real Madrid have coveted even going back to his time at Barcelona. It was even highly rumoured he would return to the Catalan club this summer, but now it seems as though the two sides are going to enter into the bidding war of the century.
According to Marca, these are some of the details of the transaction,
"PSG want to recoup the 222 million euros paid for the former Santos prodigy, and want half of that paid in cash at a minimum. Following that, Leonardo would be required to accept an exchange of at least one player in order to increase the overall value of the operation."

People will argue about who has the better player package to offer, but it really comes down to who PSG are seeking. Barcelona has a list of about six people teams can choose from which include Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele and three others. On the contrary, Real Madrid could offer Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, or even Isco to help incentive the deal for the Parisian side.
The deal will feature at least one player and a cash bid of upwards of £100 million. If Real Madrid were to get him, it would bolster an already stellar summer transfer window. Since the window opened they have brought in Belgian superstar Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo.
This movement in of players will start another shift in talent for Real Madrid and Zidane. They have yet to really move on from the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, as last season was a tumultuous disaster. With that being said, Neymar would love a move to Madrid, even if it means going up against his former teammates twice a year in El Clasico.
Having Hazard and Neymar on the wings would be one of the scariest combinations football has probably ever seen. You would have goal-scoring, dribbling and passing on both sides with a platoon of young, exciting players ready to fill in the rest of the squad. It is an early take, but if Neymar joins the Galacticos, expect an armful of trophies coming their way.
