Real Madrid are willing to include own Brazilian superstar to gain an advantage in negotiations with PSG…

In the race to sign Neymar, Real Madrid know that the player’s desire to return to Barcelona works against their favour. They also know that PSG’s reluctance to want to sell to Barcelona benefits them and could trump Neymar’s wishes.

Another thing working for Real Madrid is they have funds available to present a more appealing deal than the Catalans. But, reportedly, they are also willing to offer a player who has tremendous upside and could serve as a direct replacement for Neymar.

According to Sport, Real Madrid are willing to include Vinicius Jr. along with money in a deal for Neymar. The Barcelona-based outlet reports that Zinedine Zidane is not fully convinced by Vinicius and would give the go-ahead to include him in a proposed deal.

For PSG, Vinicius represents somewhat of a younger version of Neymar and one that won’t be such a huge hit on their wage bill. The Parisian side had been offered the likes of Isco, Bale, and Modric but passed on them. Leonardo, the PSG sporting director, is said to be a fan of Vinicius and would provide fewer headaches than Neymar.

In addition to green-lighting a sale of Vinicius, Zidane has also softened his stance on the possibility of acquiring Neymar.

According to The Independent, Zidane said:

"“Neymar is not in our squad, but until September 2, anything can happen. We are with the squad that we have and we are only thinking about that.”"

In the negotiations for Neymar, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are offering players to PSG and it will be up to them to decide which players they vale more and which are a better fit under Thomas Tuchel. With Vinicius still being young and a work-in-progress, PSG may see him as a player that they can be further developed and will not put them through the same obstacles as Neymar.
