Ferran Torres (19) – Winger/Midfielder, Valencia

Ferran Torres is arguably one of the most coveted under-21 Spaniards in all of world football today.

Making his way up from Valencia’s youth system, Torres has quickly risen to become an important player for the first-team. At just 19, he has already made an astounding 53 appearances for Valencia in all competitions.

What excites many within Valencia is Torres’ dynamic versatility to play multiple positions. Last season, he played the vast majority of games out on the right as a midfielder in Marcelino’s 4-4-2 setup. Dribbling from out on the right flank and orchestrating play with the ball made up a bulk of his responsibilities for Valencia.

But this past summer, Torres showed how well he can adapt to different systems as he was the starting right winger for the U-19 Spanish national team at the 2019 U-19 Euros. Torres capped off his superb tournament showing with a brace in the final against Portugal, which earned him even more attention in Europe.

Even with Valencia’s overcrowded midfield, expect Torres to earn more opportunities to shine this upcoming season.
