Everyone knows Sadio Mane is one of Liverpool’s best players. But now people are really starting to wonder if he can be considered as one of the world’s best, and this statistic proves it.

According to OptaJoe, Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has a pretty good record of goals in the calendar year.

Mane has been on fire since the middle of last season, performing well in the Champions League, Africa Cup of Nations and of course the Premier League as well. In two starts and one substitution appearance for the Reds this campaign he is already off to three goals and one assist.

The Senegalese superstar is one of the best finishers in not just England but all of Europe. He might not have one of the best touches, but he can beat people off the dribble and score with ease, even if its in a difficult location.

An example of this, is his ridiculous turn and chip over Manuel Neuer in the Champions League Round of 16 last season in Munich, Germany. Another example came just this past weekend, as he darted past two defenders and buried one in the top right past Angus Gunn.

The former Southampton player is just full of class, and is proving himself to be one of Liverpool’s most important threats along with Roberto Firmino, and of course Mo Salah. He has not gotten to take a real holiday, and he probably will not be able to for most of the year which is concerning as to whether or not he will be able to maintain his deadly pace for the whole season.

While the Reds held up with Divock Origi on the left, he just is not the same as Super Sadio. Against Norwich, when Klopp put him on, the entire tempo of the game was changed and Liverpool looked dangerous once again. His chemistry with Firmino and Salah makes it so easy for him to score goals and expect him to keep doing more of the same for the Redmen.

Also, it is important to point out Mane got to that record from the winger, while Aguero is an out-and-out striker.
