Real Madrid locate a much cheaper Paul Pogba alternative
By Kian Long
The hunt for a midfielder is not over for Real Madrid…
Real Madrid have been active in the transfer window. They secured the signings of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy early on while also bringing in the likes of Eder Militao and Rodrygo. So far so good but they will want to also end the window on a high.
But where is left to strengthen? Well, the answer is simple. Real Madrid must sign a new midfield option if they are to consider this the perfect transfer window. With Dani Ceballos out on loan, it’s a no-brainer for Zinedine Zidane and company.
Fingers will initially be pointed towards Paul Pogba. He is rumoured to want a move away from Manchester United and he isn’t the best of moods lately after missing a penalty to Wolves. However, he won’t be cheap if he is to leave United, hence alternatives must be addressed.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid have done just that. They have located Marc Roca of Espanyol. The 22-year-old would only set Los Blancos back by about €40m, whereas if they were to pursue Pogba then they would need to fork out upwards of €150m.
Real Madrid got off to a flying start to La Liga this weekend. They humiliated Celta Vigo, giving them an early pedestal at the top of the Spanish league. They were also helped by Aritz Aduriz, who came up with a sensational bicycle kick against Barcelona to make them drop all three points.
Luka Modric received a red card in the game against Celta Vigo. According to Sport English, this could set the Croatia international aside for a few games. This plus his age makes it an obvious choice for Real Madrid. They must sign Marc Roca.
Marc Roca is similar to Casemiro in many ways, therefore he would add a new dynamic to this Madrid side. He is a defensive midfielder who likes to dictate the play from deep at times. He is a solid addition, so it would be a worthy investment for Zidane.
Do you think Real Madrid should sign Marc Roca this summer?
