Paul Pogba will make one last push to join Real Madrid
By Kian Long
He desperately wants that Real Madrid move…
The Paul Pogba talk has somewhat died down since the English transfer window closed. Understandably, Manchester United have become more reluctant to listen to offers since they wouldn’t be able to replace him if they sold him this late. However, that isn’t going to stop the Frenchman pushing for a move to Real Madrid.
According to Marca, Pogba will not renew his current contract at Old Trafford. This is because he wants to move away, preferably to Real Madrid, “as soon as possible.” The 26-year-old is tied down to a contract until the summer of 2021.
Pogba has not been having an easy ride of things lately. He has been subject to abuse by a small minority of the Manchester United fans. They have taken to Twitter to address their concerns, even resorting to racist comments. No player deserves such treatment, so Pogba’s desire to move away is understandable.

To play under Zinedine Zidane is any French midfielder’s dream. Ageing at 26 years old, Pogba would have grown up watching Zizou represent his country. He is perhaps the best French midfielder of all time and he’s used his experience to become one of the best managers in the world.
With Real Madrid, he lifted three Champions League titles in consecutive seasons. Pogba is yet to add this honour to his trophy cabinet, after winning the Serie A, Europa League and, of course, the World Cup. Joining Real Madrid may give him the best opportunity to add to his collection.
Pogba is a versatile midfielder who thrives mostly in the attacking third. He uses his passing range to carve opportunities for others. He is an excellent dribbler, creator and he can also take on shots from distance. All in all, he could benefit any system so Zidane would not need to adapt.
With just a few days remaining in the transfer window, Real Madrid will need to act quick and they will need to pay BIG money if they are to convince Manchester United. It’s not going to be easy but it certainly is possible.
