Jadon Sancho is open to a move back to the Premier League amidst Manchester United interest
By Quinn Allen
According to the Mirror UK, Sancho wouldn’t be opposed to a move back to England after leaving Manchester City in 2017 for German giants Borussia Dortmund.
Since leaving England for Germany just a couple years ago, Sancho has evolved into one of the most exciting young talents in Europe. He’s proven to be a vital key to Dortmund’s success since his arrival, helping them place second last season and also scoring three times already this campaign through five matches.
In a recent interview though with Mirror UK, Sancho voiced that he wouldn’t be against a possible move back to his homeland or even Spain. But also, he made it clear that he is focused on this season and helping his team compete for a Bundesliga title.

"“I can’t tell the future but I wouldn’t mind [a return to the Premier League]. La Liga I wouldn’t mind also, but we don’t know yet.”“I am just happy that I’m playing and that’s the main thing. I’m just helping my team and learning every day when I’m on the pitch.”“I don’t really try to take notice of all the media. I just try to stay focused on my game. Obviously being in Germany has taken off the pressure of the media and I think that’s really helping me a lot and keeping me focused.”"
The Red Devils showed interest in Sancho this summer, but his asking price was obviously very high and Dortmund made it clear that he is not for sale. United decided to focus on strengthening their squad as a whole, signing several players instead of trying to break the bank on just one.
But Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side is believed to be waiting it out for Sancho with the hope that they can possibly sign him in next summer’s transfer window. At just 19-years old, Sancho is improving every day and if he has another world-class season, his price tag is going to very high. But if there is one team who can afford it, it’s Manchester United. The fact that he was born and raised in England would definitely make the opportunity to play at Old Trafford very enticing, so who knows what could happen in the summer of 2020.
Imagining Sancho on one flank and Daniel James on the other is very exciting, along with Marcus Rashford up front. The youth movement would be in full force if United could sign Sancho next summer. It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can beat other big clubs to the young England international.
