For the second time this week, Juventus survived an early goal from one of Serie A’s recently promoted teams.

It didn’t take long for Brescia to open the scoring in this match. It took only 4 minutes for Alex Sandro to give Alfredo Donnarumma way too much space to unleash a shot that went off of Wojciech Szczesny’s hands and into the back of the net. Juventus would equalize before the half, though.

In the 40th minute, Paulo Dybala delivered a corner kick that Brescia’s keeper batted off of Jhon Chancellor and into the goal. The own goal sent the match into halftime tied at 1.

In the 63rd minute, Paulo Dybala shot a free kick off of the wall and Miralem Pjanic pounced on the rebound, blasting a shot past Brescia’s keeper from outside the box. Juventus would squander a couple of chances down the stretch and Szczesny made a few nice saves to keep Brescia from leveling the match. Juventus escaped Brescia with a 2-1 win.

GK: Wojciech Szczesny 6.5/10

In this match, Wojciech Szczesny surrendered his first goal of the season where he deserved most of the blame. Donnarumma was shooting from a tough angle and shouldn’t have been able to beat Szczesny at the near post. However, Szczesny was great for the rest of the match. He made a few saves that seemed tougher than the goal he actually gave up. It wasn’t Szczesny’s best day, but it was still plenty good for Juve to get the win.
