CM: Sami Khedira 7/10

I’ll admit it. Sami Khedira actually played well in this match. He assisted Pjanic’s goal and was able to at least contribute in the attacking half in this match. I still don’t think that Juve should be wasting time with Khedira in the starting lineup when they have younger, more talented options who could start in this spot, especially if Juve is going to continue with this formation. However, it was a good day for Khedira and we should at least appreciate that while we can.

CM: Adrien Rabiot 6.5/10

We saw some growth from Adrien Rabiot in this match, but he still hasn’t managed to make himself a consequential part of this midfield. For portions of the match, he replaced Sami Khedira as the Juve player who you could easily forget was actually on the field. He is just about guaranteed a starting spot now that Juve has switched to 4-3-1-2, but he’ll need to start actually making an impact if he hopes to keep this spot when they go back to the 4-3-3. Hopefully we start to see that impact on Tuesday.

CM: Miralem Pjanic 9/10

It’s been a hell of a week for Miralem Pjanic. First, there was his fantastic strike against Brescia to win that match. Now, he’s added an even more impressive golazo to give Juventus the lead against SPAL and he wasn’t even done. Then he played a great ball to release Paulo Dybala down the left wing, giving him space to send in the cross that Ronaldo headed home for the match’s second goal. It was another great performance from Pjanic and the level he is playing at right now should give Juve tons of confidence heading into Tuesday’s Champions League match.
