Juventus and Inter Milan will meet for the 249th time on Sunday in Milan.

Juventus enters the match with a commanding lead in the all-time series, winning 110 of these meeting compared to Inter’s 77. They also hold a pretty sizable edge in the scoring in these matches, scoring 353 goals to Inter’s 321. However, it is Inter that holds the only edge that matters right now.

Inter currently sits at the top of the Serie A table after winning their first 6 league matches of the year, while Juve is 2 points behind them in second because of a draw against Fiorentina. This match could have major implications on whether Juventus can continue their incredible streak of Scudetto wins or Antonio Conte can win the trophy for his 4th consecutive season in the league. We know it will at least decide who heads into the year’s second international break atop the Serie A table.

The combined 11 for these 2 squads would likely line up in Antonio Conte’s favorite 3-5-2 formation, with the two wide players playing a little farther back and mostly serving as wing backs.

GK: Samir Handanovic

Wojciech Szczesny has been pretty good for Juventus over the last year, but there’s a pretty good case to be made for Samir Handanovic being the best keeper in Serie A. The fact that he has only allowed 2 goals this season and leads the league in clean sheets has only helped to strengthen that argument. He also led the league in clean sheets last season and led Inter to the league’s second least goals allowed. The fact that you still have to deal with Handanovic even if you can beat the strong defense in front of him makes it a daunting task to try to score against Inter.
