CM: Sami Khedira 5.5/10

I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to many people that I was once again unimpressed with Sami Khedira’s performance for Juve. As usual, it would have been very easy not to even notice he was on the field for most of the match. I don’t really know what his purpose is in the starting lineup, especially with Aaron Ramsey available. It was Khedira’s replacement who assisted the winning goal and that alone was much more of a contribution than Khedira made in 61 minutes.

CM: Miralem Pjanic 7.5/10

I said before the match that Juve wouldn’t be able to afford another sloppy first half from Miralem Pjanic and he made sure they wouldn’t have. Pjanic was in control throughout the match and made a great pass to assist Dybala’s fantastic goal. The fact that Maurizio Sarri want’s everything running through Pjanic puts a lot of pressure on him to perform every match, but he delivered against Inter.

CM: Blaise Matuidi 7/10

Blaise Matuidi showed on Sunday why Maurizio Sarri still trusts him in the starting lineup for Juve. He was a nuisance on the defensive end, making life extremely difficult for Inter as they tried to build an attack and he even showed up in the attacking half in this match. He was able to get forward much more regularly than we have usually seen from Matuidi this year and his passing was a bit sharper than we’ve gotten used to. I thought we’d be seeing Adrien Rabiot in the starting lineup by this point in the season, but you really can’t blame Sarri for sticking with Matuidi if he’s going to show up in the big matches.
