1. Curtis Jones

Postion: Midfielder

Age: 18

The scouse born midfielder has been on the periphery of Liverpool’s first team for a while now. Jones impressed for Liverpool’s U18 side during the 17/18 season with his trickery and ability to score some spectacular goals.

He made his first team debut in pre-season during the summer of 2018 and has so far made 2 appearances for the Reds, both starts. One in the FA Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers and another in the EFL tie against MK Dons earlier this season. Jones never looked out-of-place in his appearances for the Reds and Jurgen Klopp admitted last summer that he sees Jones’ future ‘as bright.’

Jones has shown his versatility this season often playing as a false number nine for Liverpool’s U23 and U19 sides and has impressed in the role. He can also play on the wing and in central midfield, but it is the former where Jones is expected to start against Arsenal.

Jones has good vision, a great eye for a goal and the ability to dazzle and bamboozle defenders with his silky feet. He will definitely be one to watch and at just 18 years of age Jones has plenty of time to establish himself at Liverpool. With Klopp’s close guidance the tie against Arsenal could be the springboard for Jones’ Liverpool career.
