3. Moussa Wague

Age: 21

Position: Right Back

The pacy Senegalese right back has made great strides at Barca since he made the move to Spain in the summer of 2018 after impressing at Belgian outfit KAS Eupen and the World Cup.

Wague was especially sensational at the World Cup where he put in some solid performances both defensively and offensively for the Senegalese side at just 19 years of age. He even managed to score in the Group-matches against Japan with a well timed finish showing composure beyond his years.

After signing for Barca in the summer, Wague was shifted to Barcelona B where he featured regularly. The Senegalese right back made twenty appearances scored two goals and gave out three assists. His fine form earned him regular time in Barcelona’s first team match squads and Wague also managed to make three first team appearances in La Liga for the Catalan side last season.

Wague played well for Barcelona’s first team in pre-season too and he was handed the number 16 for the 2019/20 season after Barca made him a permanent member of the senior side.

He is yet to feature for the first team this season, but that is mainly due to Barcelona’s acquisition of Junior Firpo and Sergi Roberto’s fine form. Wague will have to bide his time but he has already showed glimpses of his talent and when he eventually does get his chance Wague will no doubt prove an excellent deputy once more.
