CAM: Federico Bernardeschi 5.5/10

I get the feeling that Federico Bernardeschi’s time in the starting lineup could be coming to an end soon. Aaron Ramsey is being worked back into the rotation right now and Douglas Costa recently returned from his injury. Bernardeschi has done very little to show that he should be playing over those two.

Him playing as Juve’s trequartista has been a real problem for the attack and is likely a major reason why the attack has looked so sluggish lately. I wish there were positives to take from anything Bernardeschi has done lately, but with every performance, it looks more and more like him and Juve aren’t a good fit for each other.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo 6.5/10

Cristiano Ronaldo has really not been able to make the impact you would hope to see from a player of his reputation lately. He didn’t play particularly well against Genoa in spite of the fact that he managed to score in that match and now he followed that up with a disappointing performance against Torino. He has struggled to score from the run of play in his last 5 appearances and he hasn’t even really created dangerous chances in that time.

He did create an opportunity for Matthijs de Ligt when he played a ball across the 6-yard box, but that was really the only highlight of the day for him. It has been a rough stretch for the attack as a whole and Juve will need to get more out of them the rest of this season, especially from Ronaldo.

ST: Paulo Dybala 6.5/10

I was somewhat surprised to see Paulo Dybala subbed off in the 60th minute of this match. I thought he was playing well enough and he played a key part in the only 2 real chances I can remember from Juve in the second half. In fact, he probably would have scored i the first half if he was facing a keeper who wasn’t Sirigu.

This match wasn’t as impressive as Dybala’s last few matches, but he should still be the frontrunner to play alongside Ronaldo against Lokomotiv. Hopefully he’ll have a little bit more to offer in that match.
