Shaqiri is on the brink of a move away from Liverpool, and the Reds have already identified the perfect replacement for the Swiss midfielder.

For months now the diminutive playmaker has been on the sidelines with a mysterious injury for Liverpool. The rumours persist as to what strain Shaqiri is suffering from, but it seems likely that the Swiss midfielder’s injury is more to do with the mind and his heart as he looks set on a move away from Anfield.

With the return of Oxlade-Chamberlain from injury and blossoming into fine form as well asNaby Keita’s recovery, Shaqiri finds his chances extremely limited with the Reds and at a prime age in his career he will want to play regular football once more after achieving great success with Liverpool last season.

A January move seems extremely likely for Shaqiri and there will certainly be clubs from around Europe sniffing around for his services after impressing with the Reds last season.

It seems, Jurgen Klopp has already identified the man to replace Shaqiri on the periphery of Liverpool’s midfield options.

According to Talksport that man is Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth. Talksport report that the Reds are extremely interested in the midfielder and that Harry Wilson, the Reds’ loan player, could also potentially be involved in the deal going permanently the other way.

Fraser is a quick and intelligent player who has been Bournemouth’s best performers over the last couple of seasons in the Premier League. His extreme pace makes him a real handful for defenders and it is easy to see how the Scottish midfielder is the ideal player for Liverpool’s quick and explosive style of play.

Just like Shaqiri, Fraser is also a similar height and he too can play both in a central attacking midfield role or as an outright winger which means he could offer vital cover for the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as well as ammunition to Liverpool’s creative central midfield options.

Fraser seems like the ideal fit for Liverpool and with Klopp an admirer of the player and Liverpool having a good rapport with Bournemouth, a January move could certainly be on the cards.

What do you think could Ryan Fraser end up at Liverpool?
