It is absolutely no secret that Juventus needs to sell some players in January.

Their squad is overcrowded and still issues that need to be fixed. Here are 7 players who need to be sold this winter to clear space in the squad and fund Juve’s next big move:

Mario Mandzukic

This one is pretty obvious as it could already be a done deal. Mario Mandzukic has yet to see the field for Juventus this season and was nearly dealt over the summer. Now he has reached the point that he is willing to take a wage cut to make a transfer happen and has gotten attention from Qatar and Manchester United.

It would make a ton of sense for Juve to just take whatever they can get for Mandzukic as they already have Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain, and Cristiano Ronaldo up front and won’t need Mandzukic at any point this season.

It’s sad that this is how his time with Juve is ending, especially with how well he played in the first half of the season last year, but it unfortunately looks like it is time for both Juventus and Mandzukic to move on.

Mattia Perin

This is another pretty obvious choice and one that had already been made over the summer. Mattia Perin was set to be transferred to Benfica in July after falling to 3rd on the Juve depth chart at keeper, but a failed medical saw him stuck with Juve for another six months as he recovered from an injury.

Now that he has recovered he is an easy choice to be sold during the winter as he won’t be seeing the field anytime soon at Juventus with Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffonfirmly ahead of him in the Juve pecking order.

Perin’s move to Juve came with such promise as he was viewed as Buffon’s successor, but Szczesny took that spot over for himself and now it is time for Perin to see if he can reach his potential with another club.
