Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe to ignore interests from the likes of Real Madrid and stay at the club for another year…

Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain has been one of the most talked about topics in recent times. Real Madrid have been constantly keeping an eye on the French wonder kid and also seem to be preparing a bid of €400 million in pursuit of the PSG forward. In the past few weeks, Kylian Mbappe has been inked with a move to either Real Madrid or Liverpool and with PSG valuing him at around €350-400 million, there are only a handful of clubs that can even consider making an offer that big. However, per ESPN journalist Julien Laurens, Kylian Mbappe is set to ignore interests from all other clubs and stay at PSG for one more season.

Paris Saint-Germain are doing all they can to retain their superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, with the both of them being constantly linked to FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Mbappe has been outstanding for PSG since joining in 2017, scoring 69 goals in 98 appearances for the Parisian club. At the end of season Ligue 1 awards, Kylian Mbappe had the following to say, as reported by beIN sports:

"“It’s a very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career. I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is maybe the moment to have more responsibility. I hope that can perhaps be at PSG, that would be a great pleasure. Or maybe elsewhere with a new project.”"

This led people to believe that he was hinting at a potential exit but later on the player apologized and reiterated that he had no intention of leaving Paris Saint-Germain. In order to keep Mbappe at the club, PSG have also decided to make a move that would see Mbappe earning the same as Neymar hoping that it will convince the Frenchman to stay at the club for longer.

It is no secret that Kylian Mbappe dreams of a move to Real Madrid and is possibly waiting for the right time in his career to make a switch. However, Real Madrid may be running out of time to sign the World Cup winner owing to the players constantly increasing market value. If Mbappe helps France to win the Euros in 2020, then his value is bound to increase making it difficult for any club to come up with that kind of money. Looking at it in the perspective of Los Blancos, striking a deal with Mbappe and PSG before the Euros would be the most ideal situation but with the player ready to snub interests from other clubs and stay at PSG, the chances of an agreement between the concerned parties seems unlikely.
