Liverpool fans will resent the England national team for a short period of time…
The international break can either be a blessing or a curse for domestic clubs. While it’s never ideal, it’s important for managers to recuperate and assess how their season is panning out. Liverpool fans wouldn’t have wanted this international break to come following their tremendous win against Manchester City.
Players have been hitting form at the right time and the club is really setting themselves up for another victorious season. The Reds sit top of the Premier League table, eight points adrift of Chelsea and Leicester City. That said, Jurgen Klopp isn’t going to change any of his tactics after the break. However, he may need to reshuffle his squad a little.
According to The Guardian, two Liverpool players have been pulled out of the England national team camp. It’s reported that Joe Gomez is nursing a knee problem and Jordan Henderson has been ruled out through a viral infection.

Joe Gomez has shown good form for Liverpool this season. Whenever he has been called upon, he has impressed the fans. He acts as a good backup to Virgil van Dijk, using his physical stature to prevent opposing numbers having a sniff at goal. He was particularly good against Manchester City before the break.
Due to an incident in this match, the England fans took their frustration out on the young defender when he was brought on against Montenegro. They were annoyed at his coming together with Raheem Sterling, which many thought was the reason why Sterling didn’t feature.
ESPN’s Craig Burley had a little something to say on the matter…
Jordan Henderson is the authority figure in the Liverpool side so the fans will hope that he can come back as soon as possible. The good news is that he has a week to recover as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace next Saturday.
