The Real Madrid boss has given an applaud to the greatest young player in the world…

Real Madrid host Paris Saint-Germain this evening in what is perhaps the biggest game of their season so far. When they faced the Parisians in France, Zinedine Zidane‘s men were embarrassed by a scoreline of 3-0. Since then, they have improved massively and will turn hosts with a point to prove.

Paris Saint-Germain are flying in group A, having yet to lose a single game in the competition. They sit top of the group by some distance and the only way they can be topped is if they lose their two remaining games and Real Madrid win theirs. It’s a long shot, but the first step is tonight.

Zinedine Zidane is likely to field his strongest possible XI and it’s bound to be attack-driven. Los Blancos have scored an astonishing 18 goals in their last five matches, one of them being that six-goal annihilation of Galatasaray in their last Champions League match.

More from Real Madrid

One man who knows all about the goals is Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman has scored three goals in only one Champions League start. In fact, all three of those goals came in a short cameo when he was substituted on against Club Brugge. He also got an assist in this match.

Speaking ahead of the match, there has been plenty of praise heading Mbappe’s way. According to ESPN, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has even gone as far as saying he is “in love” with the Frenchman, after an attempt to sign him in the summer transfer window. Eden Hazard has also described Mbappe as his dream teammate.

Time will tell how the two sides fare and, of course, whether or not Mbappe lands his move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the coming transfer windows. One thing is for sure though; this matchup is bound to be a good one.

Do you think Kylian Mbappe will get on the scoresheet against Real Madrid?
