4. Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe has been tipped as the player to take over the throne after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo hang up their boots once and for all and it is easy to see why. The French starlet has had an incredible amount of success already in his fledgling career and he could be a great addition for Barcelona.

Mbappe was pivotal in helping France to World Cup glory in Russia scoring three goals in the process including an incredible run against Messi’s Argentina in the knockout stages of the competition.

Still just 20 years of age and with over a 100 senior goals already in his locker as well as a World Cup gold medal Mbappe is without a shadow of a doubt set for absolute football stardom. And while the Frenchman is currently at PSG, it is clear he will not be at the French club for his entire career.

There is heavy interest in him from a whole host of clubs who think they can afford his sky rocketing price including Real Madrid and Liverpool. Though once Messi’s wages are freed up, Barcelona should also join the race for the French international with the new potential money at their disposal.

Mbappe’s direct pace and style and his prolific record would be well needed in the absence of Messi at the Camp Nou and what better way to replace the best player in the world with the potentially next best player in the world after him.

It is a no brainer, and Mbappe could well and truly be the man to fill the void left over by Messi if Barcelona could somehow afford to buy him from Paris Saint Germain.
