5. Jadon Sancho

The English wonderkid has been making great waves since he opted to make the bold move away from Manchester City and sign for the German giants Dortmund during the summer of 2017. Sancho has been phenomenal ever since. Earlier this week he even managed to score against Barcelona in a 3-1 defeat to the Catalans.

Yet despite Sancho’s great form, there has been some falling out with current Dortmund boss Lucien Favre and the Englishman over the past few months. This has opened up the possibility of a move away from the club for Sancho and has alerted some of the top clubs in the world vying for his services.

Sancho is a tricky player with great pace, an insatiable appetite to take players on with some fantastic individual pieces of skill and also the uncanny ability to create chances for his team-mates and break down opponents with his through balls and crosses into the box.

Sancho has the potential to be up there with Kylian Mbappe as one of the future stars of the game and he could be an ideal player to replace Messi.

Sancho’s creative flair makes him a great asset and it is also a sign of someone who is confident in carrying a team just like Messi has done in Catalonian over the past decade. Sancho has recently improved on his finishing too and is starting to become more and more prolific which will only improve with time. Still just 19 years of age, he definitely has the potential to go all the way in the game and perhaps even the ability to one day replace Messi at Barcelona.
