Paulo Dybala 7.5/10

Cristiano Ronaldo will get the credit from most of the media for scoring Juve’s equalizer, but that wouldn’t have even been possible without Paulo Dybala. He drew the foul that earned Juve the penalty that Ronaldo finished and that was just a small part of his contribution. Dybala was a nightmare for Sassuolo’s defense from the second he came on and created all of Juve’s most

dangerous chances at the end of the match. He should start the next match and as many as possible after that.

Blaise Matuidi 5.5/10

The only reason subbing Blaise Matuidi into this match made sense was because he replaced Can who had been awful up to that point. Matuidi wasn’t able to make much of an impact on the match, but at least he wasn’t a negative. He’ll be back in the starting lineup against Lazio and should have more influence on that match.

Aaron Ramsey 6.5/10

Aaron Ramsey was fine as a substitute in this match, but wasn’t able to help Juve get the result they were looking for. It is still obvious that he is better than Bernardeschi, but for some reason he can’t keep himself in the starting lineup. Hopefully that changes soon because these short substitute appearances are really a waste of his talent.

Manager: Maurizio Sarri 2/10

This was yet another disappointment in the short tenure of Maurizio Sarri. He finally benched Sami Khedira, but replaced him with Emre Can, who had played 20 minutes in the last month and doesn’t provide much to the attack. The attack is still struggling to consistently create. I also didn’t understand the decision to sub Higuain off at the end of the match when he had played substantially better than Ronaldo. We’re nearly 4 months into the season and Sarri still isn’t getting the best out of his squad and is still dropping points at home against teams in the bottom half of the table. It’s time to start worrying about the direction Juve is heading in because it looks eerily similar to last year’s disappointment.
