Real Madrid and Chelsea could execute a swap deal during 2020 that would see both the clubs strengthen themselves in much needed positions.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has made a great impact on the roster since having his say on signings during the summer’s transfer window. Florentino Perez will most likely give the Frenchman give some more time and money to build the squad further and by the looks of it, Zidane is keen on bringing in players of his nationality to Spain.

Diario GOL has claimed that the Merengues are looking to finally materialize their interest in Chelsea’s defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante. Real Madrid do not have a like-for-like replacement for Casemiro.

And with the Brazil international showing his indispensability and being under threat of missing El Clasico has sent alarm bells ringing in Spain’s capital over how things could go down south if no backup for him is signed.

More from Real Madrid

N’Golo Kante has had a memorable time in England, and aside of his Premier League triumph with Leicester City, the France international has also added some worthy silverware with Chelsea. So the player may be fine with leaving the Stamford Bridge and playing under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, whose project interests him.

Chelsea value the former Leicester City man at 100 million euros and since he is not in the final stages of his contract just yet, the Blues will most likely be hellbent on their evaluation of the player and not agree to lower his price. Nevertheless, Los Blancos have thought about proposing a swap deal involving Brazilian sensation Vinicius Junior, who they value at 65 million euros as well as 40 million euros worth of cash.

Zinedine Zidane does not regard Vinicius very highly and more so since Eden Hazard’s signing as well as Rodrygo Goes proving himself really quickly in Madrid. The 19-year-old may benefit with Chelsea where he could start regularly in the Premier League, whose speed, physicality and dynamism will aid his development better than elsewhere.

Who do you think is the best available back-up for Casemiro at the moment?
