PSG forward aspiring for a move to Real Madrid or Juventus
Paris Saint-Germain are contemplating making the loan move for forward Mauro Icardi permanent, but the striker’s agent wife is hoping that one of Real Madrid or Juventus come calling…
Mauro Icardi was loaned out to Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day with the Parisian club having an option to buy the Argentine for €70 million. Icardi, since his debut for the French Champions, has scored 12 goals in 15 games and has managed to replace Edinson Cavani in the starting XI. Paris Saint-Germain has also reportedly opened talks with Wanda Nara, Icardi’s agent wife, in order to make the loan move a permanent one as per 90Min.
With Edinson Cavani having a horror season that saw him relegated to the bench, Icardi has taken full advantage of the situation and has become Thomas Tuchel’s preferred striker. El Matador’s injuries and minimal play time this season has possibly made him consider his future at the club and an exit next summer looks likely for the Uruguayan. On the other hand, there is a lot of speculation and uncertainty surrounding the future of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar and in such a situation, PSG would be ore than willing to tie down one of their attacking players.
However, as per Tuttosport, Wanda Nara is hopeful that Icardi’s performances will draw the attention of the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus. Nara is hopeful that she might receive an offer from the aforementioned teams before they have to decide on making the PSG move permanent. Juventus have admired the striker for a long time now and the Turin club reportedly even offered Paulo Dybala to Inter Milan in exchange for Mauro Icardi before the former rejected the deal.
Mauro Icardi is just 26 years old and at this time, is one of the best options in strike for PSG and sporting director Leonardo would be willing to push to make the move for Icardi permanent. The Argentine has scored 124 goals in 219 games for Inter Milan and with a move back to the Nerazurri seeming extremely unlikely, it is difficult to say where Icardi will play next season.
Will the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus make a move for Icardi, or will he commit to Paris Saint-Germain?
