It’s not looking good for Real Madrid…
With the new year fast approaching, club officials will have their eyes on one thing and one thing only; the January transfer window. The turn of the new year marks the perfect opportunity for clubs to fix their dilemmas for the remainder of the season, with some opting not to take that opportunity.
One club who is always active in the transfer market is Real Madrid. Especially since hiring Zinedine Zidane as their manager again, they have been keeping a keen eye on certain players around Europe. Their aims for the remainder of the season are to put up a fight, at the very least, in both La Liga and the Champions League. This will only be helped by new signings.
According to the Daily Mail, Paul Pogba of Manchester United will not be allowed to leave the club in January. Pogba has been a key transfer target of Real Madrid’s for the last few transfer windows, with Zidane being a known advocate of his countryman.

Manchester United are starting to hit a run of form now and their chances of finishing in the top four are growing by the day. This is something which Paul Pogba is going to require. Given the stature he is, the midfielder is going to want to be playing at the top level of European football.
He would join Real Madrid as a worthy partner to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, and he could even replace the former should he leave to retire somewhere else. He has shown the ability to coincide with many of Europe’s top midfielders, playing alongside Andrea Pirlo, N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic already throughout his career.
Pogba is a dictator of play and he does so in many different ways. His range of passing help him to act as the link between defence and attack, while also having the skillset to bring the ball into the final third himself. He has a rocket of a shot behind him and he is known to carry his teammates. That said, if Real Madrid can’t get him this January, they will almost certainly be back in for him in the summer.
