The new Juventus front 3 delivered another impressive performance en route to a win over Sampdoria.

It didn’t take them too long to get the scoring started. Just 19 minutes into the match, Alex Sandro played a great cross-field ball to Paulo Dybala, who perfectly volleyed it into the far corner. As has been the case many times this season, Juve wasn’t able to hold that lead for long.

16 minutes later, Alex Sandro tried to dribble out of his own end and lost the ball. He managed to get himself back in the play and make a tackle in the box, but the ball went right back to Sampdoria to score an equalizer.

Just before halftime, Juve took their lead back. Once again, it was Sandro who placed a cross perfectly. This time, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who incredibly rose to meet it and give Juve the lead back.

With as eventful as the first half was, it was surprising that the second half was pretty uneventful and the match ended as a 2-1 win for Juventus.

GK: Gianluigi Buffon 6.5/10

Gianluigi Buffon tied Paolo Maldini for the most appearances in Serie A history on Wednesday, but unfortunately didn’t get the result he deserved in such an important moment. A defensive lapse made it impossible for him to keep a clean sheet in this match, but he did make a couple of other saves in the match. Buffon deserved a clean sheet in a match that represented such an important career moment, but at least he was able to get Juve the win.
