CAM: Paulo Dybala 8.5/10

It looks like Juve has finally solved a couple of the dilemmas they’ve faced this season. Sliding Paulo Dybala behind the strikers has allowed Juve to start him, Ronaldo, and Higuain to form their strongest attack we’ve seen all year.

It also removed Federico Bernardeschi from the starting lineup. Dybala has absolutely made this move worth it. His finish in the first half was incredible and he once again sparked Juve’s attack in this match. These last two matches have been the best Juve’s attack has looked in months and I think Juve owes that improvement to the fact that they put Dybala in this position.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo 8.5/10

We got a glimpse of vintage Cristiano Ronaldo against Sampdoria. His ridiculous leap to score the match-winning header was obviously the highlight of the match for him, but he was dangerous throughout the match.

He nearly added an assist when he played a beautiful cross that just missed connecting with both Dybala and Higuain. Ronaldo is absolutely on fire right now. Hopefully he keeps this up for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

ST: Gonzalo Higuain 6.5/10

Gonzalo Higuain wasn’t able to impact the match in the way he has over the last few weeks, but I remain impressed by his work rate. He essentially operates as a box-to-box striker for Juve and always puts in a great effort.

He didn’t influence the match in the same way as the other two members of the attack, but that doesn’t mean he played poorly. Now he’s due for another big performance when Juve takes on Lazio in the Supercoppa.
