CAM: Paulo Dybala 8/10

This wasn’t a good day for Juventus, but it was for Paulo Dybala, who became the all-time leading scorer in the Supercoppa Italiana. He was able to get Juve back into the match when he followed Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot for the equalizer, but it just wasn’t enough for Juve. Still, it showed again just how important it is for Juve to be able to keep him in the starting lineup. He went back to being Juve’s most dangerous player in this match and now he’ll get a well-deserved rest for the next couple of weeks.

ST: Gonzalo Higuain 6/10

This wasn’t a great match for Gonzalo Higuain, but the attack as a whole didn’t really get much to work with in this match. Higuain did have a really nice first touch to bring down a long ball in the first half, but was only able to create a half-chance for Ronaldo with it. That was the only memorable moment for Higuain in a performance that will be quickly forgotten.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo 7/10

This match was actually kind of a let down after how well Cristiano Ronaldo had played over the last couple of weeks. He shook off over a month of poor performances to turn things around and become the legend we’re all used to again. However, he fell short of those great performances against Lazio. He had one great moment when his shot was saved and redirected for Paulo Dybala to score his goal. Other than that, this wasn’t the Ronaldo we had seen over the last couple of weeks. It likely won’t matter much to him, as the trophies he really cares about will be won after the winter break, not before it.
