Juan Cuadrado 5/10

Juan Cuadrado didn’t end up being much better than his last performance against Lazio or than Mattia De Sciglio, who he came on for. His offensive contribution mostly amounted to drawing some fouls that Juve wasn’t able to do much with. On the defensive end, he left his side of the box uncovered for Senad Lulic to be able to score Lazio’s second goal. This was an all-around bad day for Juve’s right backs.

Aaron Ramsey 5/10

This was one of Aaron Ramsey’s worst substitute appearances of the year. Juve brought him in

during the second half hoping that he would be able to help them score a winning goal, but he wasn’t able to make any kind of an impact. I’m still really hoping that he’ll be able to finally join the starting lineup after the winter break.

Douglas Costa 5/10

Douglas Costa was brought on to try and find an equalizer for Juve after they fell behind in the 73rd minute, but, like Ramsey, was unable to really change anything for Juve. Now that Paulo Dybala has moved to the trequartista role, Costa is going to need to show up in a big way in these types of substitute appearances if he is ever going to regularly rejoin the starting lineup.

Manager: Maurizio Sarri 4/10

It’s hard to blame Maurizio Sarri too much for this loss. The only thing he got wrong in the starting lineup was De Sciglio at right back. He just doesn’t seem to be able to make mid-match adjustments to help the team win. His subs in this match didn’t end up making the difference and he didn’t really have any answer to Juve’s problems other than just trying to change the personnel. He gets a couple of weeks to try to fix this team’s problems during the break and hopefully he’ll be able to change things during that time. If not, I don’t know if he’ll be able to fix this team at any point this season.
