Liverpool are planning an audacious swoop for one of Real Madrid’s best players from the last few years, who is Zinedine Zidane‘s favourite.

Real Madrid lost their prestigious FIFA Club World Cup badge to Liverpool after donning it for three years and over 1000 days on the trot. Inarguably now, the Reds are the best team in the world and most of it is down to Jurgen Klopp, who as reported by El Desmarque is eyeing a huge transfer for one of Zinedine Zidane’s first names on the team sheet.

Casemiro has been absolutely pivotal for the Merengues at the heart of the midfield this season and his presence has led to them winning some crucial matches. The Brazil international has probably not even played a bad game this season, but on Sunday when he was suspended against Athletic Bilbao, it’s fair to say that he was missed at the back.

Liverpool are 11 points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League with a game in hand and are quite possibly running away with the title ahead of the Citizens, but Jurgen Klopp is not overconfident about the quality of his team and hence, he will look to move for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro in the upcoming months according to claims.

More from Real Madrid

Klopp currently has Jordan Henderson to employ as a defensive midfielder but in spite of playing really well of late, the England international has shown that he can be bullied easily off the ball by a player more physical than him. In addition to that, Henderson is not much of a threat going forward as is Casemiro who does occasionally chip in with the goods.

Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez will almost certainly ask Liverpool to look at alternative options, but Casemiro has won every possible accolade with Real Madrid and it may not be surprising if he chooses to head to new beginnings in the upcoming years. Nevertheless, the Whites will slap an exorbitant price tag on him if anyone is interested.

If Real Madrid are to let go of Casemiro, how much money should he bring in for them?
