Karim Benzema is now 32 years old and needs to be replaced by a player who can replicate his consistent goal scoring numbers of more than a decade.

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has been firing on all guns this season, being the primary source of goals for Zinedine Zidane’s side. The Frenchman is competing with Lionel Messi for the top goal scorer’s position in La Liga Santander, in addition to bagging four goals in the UEFA Champions League’s group phase.

Karim Benzema has made 23 appearances for Zinedine Zidane this season, scoring 16 times and assisting seven. Apart from the goals which he has scored, Benzema has proven to be a creative player as well and has gotten himself involved in the build-up to majority of the team’s goals in addition to contributing at the back in recovering the ball as well.

Lately, there have been suggestions that Karim Benzema is set to extend his association with Los Merengues until June 2022, but would like to hang his boots up following that if he feels that he cannot continue playing as well as he does now. In December, Benzema turned 32 years old but a lot is still expected of him by the Whites’ faithful.

Zinedine Zidane has endlessly preferred Karim Benzema to lead his line, meaning that Luka Jovic’s performances and growth at Real Madrid have been hampered. The Serbia international has scored just once for Los Blancos since signing up and has been questioned by the fans and media for failing to make the most of his chances as a substitute.

Diario GOL has claimed that even Florentino Perez has run out of patience with the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker and thus, he will make an attempt to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old is one of the most lethal goal scorers in England and has been identified by the 13 time European champions since a long time.

Tottenham Hotspur have proven to be smart businessmen in the past with Real Madrid when they dealt in Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, so they are not expected to budge from their price tag of 170 million euros of Harry Kane. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if Kane would move to Spain given his comments about wanting to stay in England through his career.

Do you see Harry Kane playing for Real Madrid at any point in his career?
