CAM: Paulo Dybala

Juve’s success with Paulo Dybala playing as a trequartista came to a screeching halt against Lazio in the Supercoppa. However, the couple of games before that were the best Juve had looked in months, so I expect to see Sarri stick with this setup. Sarri got the chance to try and work out the

kinks with this setup over the break, so there is every possibility that it could look even better in the new year. This situation might not be perfect, but all 3 of Juve’s strikers deserve to be in the starting lineup and this at least allows that to happen.

ST: Gonzalo Higuain

Thanks to Juve moving Dybala behind the strikers, Gonzalo Higuain is finally getting the playing time he deserves. He has been absolutely incredible for Juve this season and his effort in every match has helped to lift what has been a pretty sluggish attack. He has scored, he has passed the ball well, he has even defended. I look forward to seeing Higuain in the starting lineup more regularly in 2020.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo being included in the Juve starting lineup is just about the easiest prediction I get to make on a weekly basis. Even when he was struggling, he was in the lineup for every match. Then he caught fire at the end of 2019 and he suddenly looks like a real threat for Juve again. The fact that the only other strikers Juve owns are both already in the starting lineup also helps to make this really easy. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off before the Supercoppa and take over this match for Juve against a surprisingly good Cagliari team.
