Juve is Already Utilizing the Transfer Window

Over the last 2 seasons, the only player that Juventus acquired during the winter transfer window who actually ended up playing a match for the club was Martin Caceres. That’s not exactly the type of impactful signing that Juve fans usually hope for during the winter. Juventus looks like they could be preparing to change that trend and finally make a season-altering move this January.

They started this transfer window with a very strong move, signing Dejan Kulusevski from Atalanta. He has been absolutely incredible on loan at Parma in what has been the first real exposure he has had to Serie A. Even though he won’t be joining Juve this season, the move signals that Juve is ready to make a splash this winter.

They have already been linked to more moves to bolster their squad before the month is over. Those include a swap of Emre Can for PSG’s Leandro Paredes (which isn’t great, but at least they’re trying something) and a swap of Emre Can for Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara (way more interesting). There had also been speculation last month that they could try to beat the competition to Sandro Tonali’s signature by trying to bring him in now instead of over the summer. On top of all of that, they have been rumored to be interested in having Arturo Vidal return to the squad (even though he seems more interested in heading to Inter) and have even been linked with possible discussions over the transfer of Christian Eriksen before his Tottenham contract runs out.

We don’t yet know whether Juve will actually land any of these players during the winter window, but the fact that they are being linked with so many reinforcements should give fans hope that the club is trying to bolster the squad for a big second half of the season. Even if they don’t land any of these players, we’ll at least have an exciting transfer window to look forward to.
