Who will be Arsenal’s breakout stars in the year 2020?
Arsenal are currently sitting in 10th spot – an ordinary mid table position in the Premier League this season. The fate of the London club for the UCL qualification aspirations rely heavily on their breakout stars and what they do from now on until the end of the season.
Even mere perfection might not be enough for the Gunners in the most competitive league – but with the inconsistency shown by their top 4 rivals in this season, you never know.
If the Gunners want to head in the upward trajectory – here are two players who should be given a chance to have their breakout season at the Emirates this year:
- Gabriel Martinelli
The young Brazilian forward has given Arsenal fans a new hope and belief going forward this season. Martinelli was signed from Brazil’s fourth tier for £6 million earlier last summer.
His performances haven’t gone unnoticed since he joined the club. The 18-year-old youngster’s performance against Liverpool at Anfield was the sign of what’s about to come from the Brazilian.
Despite his side losing on penalties after a 5-5 tie, he scored a hat-trick against the Liverpool’s talented reserve team. He went on to start a few games for the Gunners, including a match against the reigning champions Manchester City.
The year 2020 could be the breakout year for Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates.

Here’s another name that could give Arsenal fans a new hope and belief going forward this season. The Scottish left-back made the Gunners wait to get the proper glimpse of him in action due to his injuries most of the time.
But if the former Celtic star starts to get involved, things could get really exciting for the London giants. This year could be the breakout year for Kieran Tierney at the Emirates.
