2. Arsenal clearly have a lot of faith in Thomas Lemar

If faith is what Lemar is looking for, then he should look no further than the Emirates Stadium for it is Arsenal who have been wanting to sign him for a very long time now. Even during his days as a Monaco player, Arsene Wenger was keen to sign Thomas Lemar. This has not changed with Mikel Arteta at the helm.

It’s no coincidence either, for Lemar is a player well-moulded to slot into the Arsenal XI and he would be a success among the crowd.

3. Lemar would plug a gap at the Emirates Stadium

Mikel Arteta has a lot of work to do if he is to fix this Arsenal XI. There’s no denying that. However, it’s good to see that he is starting positively in the attacking department for this is where Arsenal will see immediate improvement.

There aren’t many problems in Arsenal’s frontline for they have been firing on all cylinders this season, especially Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However, one problem they do face is the lack of creativity from advanced wide positions. This calls for the full-backs to press higher than they are accommodated to and could leave gaps at the back.

Thomas Lemar prides himself on his ability to cross the ball into the box, which would be essential for the flourishing of Aubameyang and Lacazette. He would also act as a worthy mentor to Nicolas Pepe in this department which is never a bad thing.
