Danilo

There are a couple of players on this list that I wish I could list as sells, but can’t realistically expect Juve to sell them right now. Danilo is absolutely one of those. He has been a clear step down from Joao Cancelo when he’s played and he hasn’t really been able to play all that much because of injuries. He hasn’t been deserving of the starting right back role this season and should be on the chopping block over the summer. Juve just doesn’t have the luxury of getting rid of him right now.

Reluctantly keep

Merih Demiral

Merih Demiral didn’t have the best start to his career at Juventus, but he has been fantastic over the last month. Right now, he is serving as a regular starter while de Ligt recovers from his shoulder injury and he will remain a very important insurance plan even after de Ligt and Chiellini are healthy. Most importantly, he looks like he could be the perfect partner for de Ligt in the center of Juve’s defense for years to come.

Keep

Juan Cuadrado

Over the summer, Juan Cuadrado was one of the players I thought Juve should be getting rid of while they could still get a decent return for him. At the time, he really just didn’t have a purpose for Juve. Now, I don’t see any way that they could sell him. He has been their best right back so far this season and I don’t see Danilo changing that any time soon. Cuadrado might become expendable again next summer, but he’s definitely safe until Juve brings in another right back.

Keep

Mattia De Sciglio

For over a month now, Mattia De Sciglio has been the subject of interest from PSG. However, I can’t see Juve letting him go. De Sciglio is Juve’s only backup to Alex Sandro and even bringing in Thomas Meunier in exchange for him wouldn’t fix that issue. Juve needs to keep some depth to compete on 3 fronts in the second half of the season and selling De Sciglio would ruin that depth. I think he’ll be moved once Pellegrini returns from his loan, but that won’t be happening until this summer.

Keep

Daniele Rugani

Finally we’ve reached my first player I think Juve needs to sell. Daniele Rugani has never lived up to the potential Juve saw early in his career and hasn’t really even been used this season. He has become even more expendable now that Maurizio Sarri has started to trust Demiral. I don’t see a path to Rugani ever getting meaningful minutes with this squad again and there are teams interested in bringing him in. Juve should let him go before his value drops even more.
