The Liverpool boss has identified his perfect candidate to bring to Anfield and he has the potential to become as good as his star player, Sadio Mane.

No player has been as majestic as Sadio Mane for Liverpool this season. The Senegalese winger has been running up and down the pitch with his flying speed leaving defenders trailing his shadow game after game. His pace, his strength and his incredible ability to beat his opponent one on one has made him one of the most formidable players of the current era.

Sadio Mane’s talent is rare. He is a top athlete with a blessed ability to play football and it is what makes him a frightening player to the opposition.

Jurgen Klopp could hardly find any player of the same ilk. The German manager is fortunate to have Sadio Mane in his team.

Yet Liverpool are about to hit a very important part of the season and with the Reds hoping to compete on all fronts Jurgen Klopp must think about every possible scenario, no matter how unlikely. That will include a possible injury to Sadio Mane.

The pace, the strength and the sheer quality which the Senegalese forward provides would be hard to replace. In the current Liverpool squad there are not many who could do it.

It is why it seems that the German coach has turned his attention elsewhere towards the January transfer window.

According to French publication Foot Mercato via the Daily Mail, Liverpool are ‘eyeing’ Villareal’s Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze.

The 20-year-old has been a revelation in La Liga since his arrival at the Spanish club and it is no surprise Jurgen Klopp has his eye on the winger. Samuel Chukwueze has the same speed, the same turn of pace and the same tenacious style of play that has been characterised by Sadio Mane at Liverpool.

The winger is expected to be one of the biggest talents to emerge out of the African continent since Sadio Mane and at Liverpool, he could become the Senegalese winger’s protege and hone his skills even further.
