Real Madrid maestro Luka Modric will leave the club at the expiry of his contract at the end of the current season in order to unite with a club’s legend.

Luka Modric had a tumultuous campaign in 2018/19 and fairly was one of the worst Real Madrid players of a season to forget. The Croatia international however has fought hard and recovered his form under Zinedine Zidane this season. But there are some factors that are still going against him- with age being the primary one.

Modric is now 34 years old and is rarely ever able to play 90 minutes of a match. Playing regularly for three days is something that now seems behind him. Secondly, the Croatia international’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires this summer and there have been no talks of a renewal, even though there could be something cooking internally.

El Desmarque has reported that the 2018 FIFA World Cup’s Golden Ball winner is set to leave the 13 time European champions at the end of the current season. Modric, who is now in his final one or two years as a professional footballer will look to go to a team with not much pressure and somewhere he can enjoy top-tier status.

The United States has been thought to be a great prospect for the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and there is reportedly interest from two clubs of the MLS- DC United and Inter Miami. While the Washington DC based club is pretty well established, Inter Miami will get into inception this year for the first time in the MLS.

As per the claims, Modric has reportedly been interested by Inter Miami and will unite with a former Real Madrid player in David Beckham, who is the owner of the outfit. Moreover, the midfielder is a big fan of Miami city and economically as well, joining Inter seems to be a better destination as compared to DC United.

Do you think Real Madrid must offer an extension to Luka Modric’s contract?
