Chelsea have identified the perfect replacement for Eden Hazard and will break their transfer record in order to sign the player.

Chelsea have endured a rather inconsistent start to the season and may consider themselves fortunate to be in the Champions League spots in the Premier League standings. They are certainly out of the title race, whilst also having been knocked out of the EFL Cup. Lampard’s side is certainly second favourite against Bayern Munich in the Champions League knockouts, making the FA Cup their only realistic option of silverware for the season.

Frank Lampard has done a commendable job in building Chelsea’s side from youngsters in his first season at the helm, but it is clear that the Blues’ issues are persistent due to lack of signings due to their transfer ban. However, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport lifting the same, the Blues can strengthen themselves in this month as well.

Roman Abramovich is aware that his side is majorly missing Eden Hazard even though the Belgium international has not enjoyed a very good start to life at Real Madrid and is willing to sanction a club-record transfer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, Express has claimed. The England international will cost over 100 million pounds, but having cashed in on majority of that money by selling Hazard, Abramovich is okay to invest some from his pocket.

Jadon Sancho’s talents are not a secret and that’s the reason he is being targeted by the Premier League royalty. Apart from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all shown interest in him. Not just that, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old superstar.

Should the west Londoners manage to get their hands on Jadon Sancho, they would have managed to land Eden Hazard’s perfect replacement, speaking of it statistically. Last season, Sancho was the only player in the top five European leagues to register a double-digit of goals and assists aside of Eden Hazard and Lionel Messi, while this season, he has been the first to reach that mark in all competitions and is on track to eclipse his numbers of a year back.

The Blues are also keen on adding a striker and defender to their roster and have shortlisted the likes of Timo Werner, Moussa Dembele, Ben Chilwell and Issa Diop. However, Lampard’s priority remains a winger and with Jadon Sancho open to leaving Germany, his signing for the winter is very much an open prospect for Chelsea.

Do you see Jadon Sancho returning back to England before the end of this month?
