Inter Milan advanced to the Coppa Italia quarterfinals on Tuesday and now they’ll return to chasing Juventus in Serie A on Sunday.

They’ll be looking to get themselves back in the Serie A win column after dropping points in a draw against Atalanta last weekend. That draw dropped them two points behind Juve in the league, but they did manage to get a better result earlier this week. They absolutely demolished Cagliari on Tuesday in the Coppa Italia match, which they won 4-1. They’ll be hoping for a similar demolition against Lecce on Sunday.

Lecce finds themselves on the other end of the Serie A spectrum. They have lost each of their last 4 matches and haven’t won a match since the end of November. This brutal stretch has seen them drop to 17th in the league. Taking any points against an Inter squad that has already beaten them 4-0 would take a herculean effort and would be seen as a huge success for this squad.

Inter remains a bit shorthanded for this match with Kwadwo Asamoah and Danilo D’Ambrosio both still injured. However, they will still be playing their usual 3-5-2 formation.

GK: Samir Handanovic

This position is never a surprise for Inter Milan. We now it will always be Samir Handanovic getting the start in matches that matter and with good reason. Even at 35 years old, there’s a strong argument to be made that Handanovic is Serie A’s best keeper. The number certainly support him this season as he leads the league in clean sheets and Inter has allowed the league’s least goals. Nobody is going to be surprised if he adds another clean sheet to his impressive numbers on Sunday.
