Sign Victor Moses on a Loan

I’ve seen the rumor circulating lately that Inter Milan could loan in Victor Moses to reinforce their full back positions and I really like the idea. There are quite a few reasons why bringing in Victor Moses would make a lot of sense for the rest of this season.

First of all, Antonio Candreva isn’t very good in the right wing back role. Danilo D’Ambrosio has had trouble staying healthy this season, which has thrust Candreva into the regular rotation. Victor Moses would give Inter a more reliable option at right wing back to backup D’Ambrosio.

He also hasn’t been getting regular playing time on his current loan at Fenerbahce, so I don’t think Chelsea or Fenerbahce would mind terminating that loan.

There is also the added benefit of his relationship with Antonio Conte. When Conte was managing Chelsea, Moses was a regular starter in the same system. Not only did he play regularly, but those were two of the best seasons of his career. Since Conte left, Cheese has had no interest in him and I’m sure they’d be happy to let his old manager have him back.

If returning to a Conte managed squad could get Moses back to a similar level to where he was 2 years ago, then he certainly would be a better option than Antonio Candreva to sub in for D’Ambrosio when needed.

I’m not in any way, shape, or form saying that Victor Moses is some world class player that’s going to take the world by storm if he comes to Inter, but when you’re competing for trophies, small margins make all the difference. Victor Moses joining Inter Milan would improve them by that small margin. Him starting a match at right wing back could make way more of a difference at the end of the season than we realize now. If nothing else, it’s at least worth a shot.
