One of Paris Saint-Germain’s most potent goal scorers of all-time may be finding himself playing for Manchester United in a short while.

Manchester United’s attacking trio has performed on all guns firing this season and interestingly tops that of Liverpool in terms of goal scoring. All this is in spite of young forward Mason Greenwood largely being a substitute through the course of the season. That being said, even without Romelu Lukaku, the Red Devils are doing a decent job.

More from Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku is with Inter Milan now following his transfer to Italy in the summer and is certainly reminding the Manchester United faithful what they could have been treated to had they been a bit patient and kind with their slack. The Belgium international has not yet been replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has been reliant on Marcus Rashford.

Earlier, Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic had been touted to sign for the Premier League giants, but it turned out that a move for the Croat didn’t go through. Manchester Evening News has now reported that Edinson Cavani could be on the move this summer, with the Old Trafford being a likely destination for the Uruguay international.

Cavani has an attractive eye in front of goal and was one of the world’s most lethal scorers during his prime at the Parc des Princes. The former Napoli frontman has not had many minutes this season under his belt following Mauro Icardi’s arrival and may be departing the French capital at the expiry of his contract during the summer.

He would certainly be a good option for the Red Devils and add some much needed depth to their squad. Cavani could also be a super sub for Manchester United and his aerial threat would be a major asset for them, given that they have some wonderful crossers of the ball but nobody who could head it in.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offload one of their all-time top scorers this month itself but will ask for 30 million pounds, a price that’s beyond Ole’s side especially with an imminent move for Bruno Fernandes hanging in the balance. Apart from the 20 time English champions, Atletico Madrid have also been monitoring Cavani’s situation in Paris.
