Danilo 7/10

Danilo entered this match much earlier than Juve would have liked because of Alex Sandro’s injury, but he actually played pretty well in relief. He was strong on the defense end and really deserved a goal in this match. He unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, but Parma’s keeper was able to make a great save to keep the shot out. This was another solid performance from Danilo and it should convince Sarri to give him another crack at the starting lineup.

Gonzalo Higuain 6.5/10

This wasn’t Higuain’s most impressive substitute appearance of the year, but there were at least some bright spots. He helped create a couple of good opportunities during his appearance. He wasn’t able to score or register an assist, but this still a solid appearance from Higuain.

Douglas Costa 7/10

He wasn’t a part of the match for very long, but Douglas Costa played pretty well in his substitute appearance. He created a couple of chances for Ronaldo to score after he was introduced and help take the pressure off Juve’s defense as they tried to protect the lead. Maybe Costa deserves a shot to take Ramsey’s job from him.

Manager: Maurizio Sarri 5/10

Juventus may have won this match, but the fact that they are still dealing with the same issues now that they have been all season is troubling. They still looked sluggish to start this match and lacked the creativity to consistently break through Parma’s defense. Juve hasn’t improved throughout the year in the ways that Sarri promised and that falls squarely on his shoulders. He needs to get this figured out quickly because every time Juve struggles to put away an inferior squad at home it just becomes a bigger disappointment.
