Manchester United are dealing with plenty of injury issues, and lack of talent issues, this season, but there are plenty of names on the transfer market that could ensure United make it back to the Champions League next season.

If you were to talk to a Manchester United fan, or read and media about the club, you would think they were in a relegation battle so far this season, but the reality is that United is just five points back of Chelsea for the final Premier League Champions League spot.

Dealing with injuries in all parts of their line-up, Manchester United will continue to be without Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford for the next few weeks and months. Luckily for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer it is the January transfer window and there are plenty of names out there who could make their way to Old Trafford in the next two weeks.

Below are five interesting names, who have been rumored targets of United, that would help the Red Devils catch Chelsea in the final 15 games of the Premier League season.

Five Manchester United Targets

1. Moussa Dembele

Manchester United were forced to start Anthony Martial and Daniel James up front last game, a 2-0 loss at Liverpool, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to bring in more attacking prowess in during this period. Moussa Dembele is someone who can come in and make an immediate impact for the Red Devils for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old Lyon striker has 18 goals in 34 appearances for club and country this season, including five goals in his last four games with Lyon. Dembele has been a bit inconsistent this year, as his average rating is just 6.90, but as a starting center forward the French international has an average rating of 7.05 in 24 appearances.

According to Foot Mercato, United are willing to offer in the range of 50 million euros plus performance-based bonuses for Dembele.

Not only would this move benefit Manchester United this season, but Dembele and 22-year-old Marcus Rashford could be a deadly striking duo for years to come in Manchester.
