Arsenal showed plenty of fight to get the away point against Chelsea…

When these two sides met last month, it was Chelsea that fought from behind late on to get a win. This time around though, a ten-man Arsenal side dug deep to fight for a draw, and they had to do it twice.

The game got off to a nervy start for the visitors when David Luiz was sent off and Jorginho converted from the following penalty. Although, this shift to ten-men seemed to do Arsenal the world of good as they became a lot more organised defensively and even carved some opportunities going forward.

However, they had to wait until the second half to grab the equalising goal and it was Gabriel Martinelli who took advantage of a rare mistake from N’Golo Kante, as he ran the length of the pitch to convert with aplomb.

Still, this wasn’t enough as Cesar Azpilicueta scored a rare goal which looked to be the winner until Hector Bellerin cut in from the right on the other side to curl one past Kepa Arrizabalaga. So I guess you could say it was an exciting match but how did the individuals perform?

Bernd Leno – 7/10

Leno made some terrific saves as per usual to keep Arsenal in the game. He faced a lot but he was only beaten twice, one of those being a penalty. He could’ve arguably done more to prevent Jorginho’s goal but he is only human and overall, it was an excellent performance from Bernd. He gets a 7 for me, but if we’re talking about that barnet, it’s a clear 10.
