Arsenal face a visit across the pond to take on their London rivals Chelsea. But how should the gunners line up?

The last few weeks have been gruelling or, should I say, boring for Arsenal fans. They have been held to two stalemates against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, after looking so positive in their previous two matches against Leeds and Manchester United.

Chelsea, similarly, suffered in their most recent match against Newcastle at St James Park. A late header from Isaac Hayden saw Frank Lampard’s men put their heads in their hands and rightly so. That said, both sides will be looking to make amends to their fans in this match.

Last time out, Chelsea came back late on, despite looking the weaker side, to grab all three points against Arsenal. Late capitulation from the defenders and goalkeeper saw Mikel Arteta’s progress made redundant.

As the Spaniard looks to get revenge against Chelsea tonight, here is the XI he should look to field…

GK: Bernd Leno

There’s no real question here. Although his form has not been as impressive as it was at the start of the season, Leno is often reliable between the sticks. He is a very athletic goalkeeper that can use his frame to the best of his ability.

He will have a tough time facing Tammy Abraham, as he did in the last meeting. However, he will hope that his defenders are even more fired up for this match and I’m almost certain that Arteta will put his full trust in the German.
